DSM Buys Enzymes Business.(Company overview)

DSM says it has acquired "the business and substantially all of the assets" of Valley Research (South Bend, IN), a privately held biotechnology company founded in 1984, which offers a broad range of enzymes used in dietary supplements, dairy, juices and wines. The acquisition reinforces DSM's leading global position in food enzymes and offers DSM its first food enzymes manufacturing platform in the U.S. Valley Research employs 40 people and has its laboratory and manufacturing unit at South Bend as well as several sales offices across the U.S. Terms were not disclosed.
