NSW: Millions of dollars cash found during raids of Sydney homes

Police haven't started counting it yet .. but they say the bundles of cash they seized
in drug and weapon raids in western Sydney .. could be worth as much as five million dollars.

They say the money .. much of it hidden in wall cavities .. is the profits from drug
dealing and gun running.

Assistant Commissioner DAVID HUDSON says police haven't actually started counting the
cash yet .. but have estimated the haul between four and five million dollars.

He's told Macquarie Radio it's already been put through certain forensic examinations
after being found during raids on seven properties yesterday.

The raids were part of an investigation into the supply of illegal firearms and drugs
.. which has now seized a total of up to seven million in cash.

Mr HUDSON says three men charged with drug offences during the past 15 months will
now face more charges .. and one of them's due to appear in Liverpool Local Court today.
