Fed: Red tape cut to bolster IR regime: Howard

The Prime Minister hopes that slashing the cost of incorporating companies will bring
more of them under the reach of the government's new workplace regime.

Mr HOWARD and Treasurer PETER COSTELLO say the government will halve the cost of incorporation
to 400 dollars.

JOHN HOWARD says while the plan will save business money .. it's also designed to encourage
smaller firms to move towards the recently introduced industrial relations system.

The new laws protect firms with fewer than 100 workers from unfair dismissal claims.
